Accounting Manager

Our confidential client a fast-growing food manufacturer serving both B2B and B2C markets, with products

sold through major retailers, distributors, and eCommerce platforms. As we scale, we need

a detail-oriented Accountant who can support financial operations, reporting, and compliance

in a dynamic environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an Accountant with 3-5 years of

experience who wants to work in a hybrid, fast-paced, high-growth business.

Position Overview:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing general accounting functions, financial

reporting, inventory accounting, and reconciliation processes. This role will play a key part

in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting eCommerce and retail operations, and maintaining

compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Support the Corporate Controller and CFO in financial reporting and analysis.

Retail & Commerce Accounting:

• Manage revenue recognition and reconciliation for B2B and B2C sales, including large retailers (Walmart, Target, Costco, etc.) and eCommerce platforms (Amazon, Shopify, etc.).
• Track and reconcile chargebacks, trade promotions, and deductions from major retailers.
• Assist in inventory and cost accounting to ensure accurate COGS reporting.

Process Improvement & Compliance:

• Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations.
• Assist in tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting.

Qualifications:

• CPA required (or in progress).
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in food manufacturing, CPG, retail, or eCommerce.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
• Experience working with large retailers and eCommerce platforms.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (QBO, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and strong Excel skills
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and take initiative.
